DPhil in Cyber Security
Andrew Dwyer

Andrew’s interests range across computer science, anthropology, geography, and international relations. For his DPhil, he is completing (2018) a project on ‘Malware Ecologies: Rethinking the Geographies of Cyberspace and Cybersecurity’ that explores the role and agency of malware in society to challenge both current interpretations of security, but also to reconfigure the relation to (cyber)space. In particular, Andrew wishes to further explore the role of ‘life’ with reference to (computing) technologies and its relation to agency, cognition, and politics.
