Thursday, December 14, 2017 - 6:00pm
Museum of the History of Science

BioArt is the use of living tissues, bacteria and organisms to create thought-provoking, and sometime shocking, works of art. William Myers (author of Bio Art: Altered Realities) will be discussing how BioArt responds to our changing definitions of life, nature, and identity.

William Myers is a curator, writer, and teacher based in Amsterdam. Previously Myers worked for the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Guggenheim Museum, and the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Copies of his book Bio Art: Altered Realities, published by Thames and Hudson, are available to purchase from our shop.
