Carissa Quinn Richards completed her PhD in Hebrew Bible at Golden Gate Seminary in 2015, where she worked with David M. Howard Jr. on the shape of the Psalter. In her dissertation, entitled, “The King and the Kingdom: The Message of Psalms 15-24,” she investigates the literary links among Psalms 15-24 and concludes that these psalms form a distinctive collection with an identifiable shape. Carissa has been named an Emerging Scholar by the Institute for Biblical Research. She is currently researching the use of the Psalter in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
