Christine Lopes is a Doctor of Philosophy, a Registered Mental Health Nurse, and is currently training as a High Intensity Cognitive Behaviour therapist with the NHS and the University of Southampton, Psychology Department. As a philosopher, her interests are in Kant and post-Kantian philosophies, ethics and applied ethics, phenomenology, philosophy of psychiatry, psychopathology. She is the founder of the Later German Philosophy project (www.latergermanphilosophy.com). She has worked as a registered mental health nurse in the fields of forensic psychiatry for children and adolescents and medicine for older persons. As a trainee in High Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy she gives psychological treatment for depression and anxiety to patients from 16 years of age and older.
