The University of Oxford's Research Centre in the Humanities is delighted to announce seven fellowships in the arts and humanities to undertake three-month projects under the AHRC’s Cultural Engagement Fund pilot scheme.
The fellowships provide the opportunity to collaborate with cultural organisations locally, nationally, and internationally and the partnerships we have funded range from schools to arts organisations to community action groups. The University is committed to providing early career researchers with opportunities to develop a wide range of skills, particularly in relation to supporting the wider impact of arts and humanities research. We have matched AHRC's £40,000 funding with a further £25,000 from available University funds.
The awards are for three months from February to May 2013, and include a paid three-month placement with the external partner and a research expenses fund. The fellows will participate in a roundtable discussion on cultural engagement in the autumn, giving a short summary of their experiences in undertaking their fellowship and presenting their thoughts on how the scheme could be developed.
