Radcliffe Humanities
Meeting Room 4

Narve Fulsås (University of Tromsø) will be discussing "Ibsen and the dissolution of the [Scandinavian] Literary Left"--about how Ibsen manoeuvred from Ghosts to Enemy of the People and The Wild Duck.

Paul Binding, who writes frequently on Scandinavian literature in the TLS and is the author of a new biography of Hans Christian Andersen (Yale University Press), will be discussing "Alfred Allmers: Father and Writer in Ibsen's Little Eyolf" exploring Alfred Allmers as "almost the ultimate (Ibsen) man, beyond writing his book, beyond conventional fatherhood, and acquirer of wisdom in a period of sustained solitude."

Please come along and join us for these unique perspectives on some of Ibsen's most fascinating plays--all are welcome!
