I am a researcher focusing on eighteenth-century French theatre. I am particularly interested in the career trajectories of dramatic authors (my first book examines the French career of the Italian author Carlo Goldoni), and in the use of the theatre as a commemorative space (I am completing an edition of plays produced to celebrate the life of the revolutionary politician Mirabeau). I have also worked on the commedia dell'arte, in particular its acting practices, and I am involved in a project on death on stage. Finally, I teach French theatre from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and I am keen to use practical experience to bring early modern theatre alive for my students.
