This collaborative conferences, German Song Onstage 1770-1914, organised by the Royal College of Music, the University of Oxford, and the German Historical Institute, London, explores the history of the public musical concert as an artistic, cultural and social phenomenon, specifically through the role of German song. The three days include public talks, workshops and concerts, at both the RCM and Wigmore Hall.
