Stage and Screen-writing workshops with Kenneth Lonergan

Calling all budding BNC stage and screen writers.   

In 7thand 8thWeek, Oscar and Bafta award winning playwright, screenwriter and director Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester by the Sea, The Gangs of New York, Margaret, This is Our Youth, Lobby Hero, The Starry Messenger) will be running two practical workshops for students on writing for stage and screen. This is a unique and very special opportunity to work directly with an acclaimed and experienced professional.  Each workshop will last 2 ½ hours and participants will have the chance to see their script performed and get hands-on guidance and practical feedback. 

 

Workshop 1 : Writing for Stage

7thWeek, Wednesday 4thMarch, 1.30-4.00 pm, Platnauer Room, Brasenose College

Workshop 2 :  Writing for Screen and Stage

8thWeek, Tuesday 10thMarch 1.30-4.00 pm, Platnauer Room, Brasenose College

 

Places on both workshops are strictly limited and registration is essential.  Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.  The closing date for registration is February 24th.

To qualify for a place, participants must submit 10 pages from a script (work in progress is fine), a one-page summary of the work as a whole and context of the extract, and a short writing cv.
