Talking Tibetan Identities

Talking Tibetan Identities

Join us for a very special evening of viewing, discussing and celebrating ‘Performing Tibetan Identities’, an exhibition of portraits by Tibetan photographer Nyema Droma currently on display at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford. The evening will begin with a roundtable discussion with Nyema Droma, Thupten Kelsang, Lama Jabb and Baiqu Gonkar exploring some of the themes raised in the exhibition. We then move into the museum’s galleries to view Nyema Droma’s stunning portraits of ‘second generation’ Tibetans living in both China and Europe and listen to Ngawang Lodup performing live in the historic heart of the museum. Drinks and copies of the beautiful exhibition catalogue will be on sale.

You can sign up for this free event here.

NB: Entry to the museum for this event will be via the back entrance on Robinson Close entrance, not through the Natural History Museum.
