Researchers from Padua, Oxford, Bristol and Cambridge will present work on a variety of topics within Romance linguistics, with a view to better understanding how Venetian and Veneto varieties compare to other closely related Romance varieties, such as French, Occitan, Ladin and Friulian. Topics for discussion will include word order, null arguments, resumption, verbal morphology, compound theses and big-picture issues of classification.

This workshop is part of the project A Comparative Perspective on the Languages of the Veneto, funded by the TORCH International Partnership Scheme.
