Thais Rocha Da Silva

Thais Rocha da Silva is a Phd candidate in Egyptology at the Oriental Institute, St. Benet's Hall, University of Oxford. Her research is focused on the Workmen's Village in Amarna, Middle Egypt, the settlement which housed the workforce and their families engaged with tomb-construction. Thais is investigating privacy and domestic space combining approaches from different disciplines. She wants to understand how people lived and moved around, offering a more dynamic perception of daily life in ancient Egypt.
