The Humanities Cultural Programme (HCP) Events Manager (Digital) are exciting and challenging roles responsible for the day-to-day and longer term management of the Humanities Cultural Programme's events. The postholders will be responsible for leading on the planning and delivery of high-quality, year-round Humanities public engagement and events (including digital) programme. The Event Managers are part of a small team, overseen by the Head of Cultural Programming and Partnerships, and led by a senior coordinator, who are responsible for the management, development and delivery of the Humanities Cultural Programme.

The postholders will be required to develop and be part of groups internally and externally within the academic and professional community of the University, and to liaise with a broad range of external partners, institutions, and organisations. The postholders will work closely with the rest of the team and academics associated with TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) as part of the Divisional Office and all Humanities Faculties. This will involve working with and influencing senior stakeholders in TORCH and across the University. The postholders will also be responsible for supervising the work of other members of the HCP team as required and relevant to the portfolio of projects they manage.

These roles require excellent project management and organisational skills, significant professional experience of events and operations management, specialist cultural programming skills, diplomatic people management skills, and strengths in building and maintaining relationships with academics and external cultural organisations. Working largely independently, Event Managers will need to relate well to staff at all levels.
