Welcome to the website of TORCH | The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities.

TORCH is a major new University of Oxford initiative that seeks to stimulate and support research that transcends disciplinary and institutional boundaries.

TORCH currently has over 20 interdisciplinary research networks and programmes, including our headline programme for 2013/14 Humanities and the Public Good.  To get involved, explore our Research page, where you can find contact details for all our groups.

We support a range of public, research-led events. To find out more, see what's on at TORCH.

This term we have four Humanitas Visiting Professors including Vik Muniz, Michael Govan, Lynn Hunt and Kelly Reichardt.

Sign up to our mailing list to be kept informed of our news, events and funding opportunities. We send a fortnightly email during term time and you can unsubscribe at any time.
