Dear OCCT friends
We have an AMAZING term in store! We have some fabulous poetry-related events: Sasha Dugdale will be reading her work; Stephen Romer and Valentina Gosetti will be discussing the translation of contemporary French poetry with Emma Wagstaff and Nina Parish, and the Fiction and Other Minds seminar will be taking a comparative, cognitive approach to poetry. Later in the term we have a seminar on Korean literature and translation in dialogue with the circulation and translation of Indian language texts in South and East-Asia in the 19th century. Our final event of term will focus on gender in intercultural contexts from two complementary perspectives. Our graduate-led discussion group will be taking place on Mondays on a fortnightly basis (starting in Week 2) on the theme of Intermediality.
For a detailed description of our individual events, refer to http://www.occt.ox.ac.uk/events.
