TORCH has a pitch at this year’s Offbeat festival – and we’d like to give you a chance to showcase your work. Have you written poems about your practice? Composed songs about your subject? We want to hear from you!

Offbeat is a local, Edinburgh-style festival of comedy, dance, family shows, spoken word and music. Performances take place at the Old Fire Station and Oxford Playhouse’s BT Studio.

Four Oxford researchers will each be given slot of 10 minutes (or less) in which to communicate their research through performance of any kind. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage new audiences and participate in one of Oxford’s most exciting cultural events. Works in progress are as welcome as polished pieces, and there will be a small amount of funding available for expenses.

The theme of the slot is Life and Death, but this can be interpreted as widely as you wish!

The TORCH performance is scheduled for 7pm on Friday 21st June.

The deadline for initial expressions of interest is Monday 18 March. All we need at this point is an expression of interest and a few lines explaining your ideas for your performance.
