This lunchtime concert includes the world premiere of A Place Called Paradise, commissioned by Oxford Lieder from our new Associate Composer, Alex Ho, and poet Theophilus Kwek. Thrilling young mezzo Fleur Barron and BBC New Generation Artist Kunal Lahiry also include songs on a broad theme of transcultural journeys and encounters by Chen Yi, Huang Ruo, Kamala Sankaram, Elgar and Coleridge-Taylor, among others.

Performers:

Fleur Barron (Mezzo-soprano)

Kunal Lahiry (Pianist)
