AI Storytelling & Shakespeare: Humanities meets the Creative Industries

creative industries research session abigail williams

Join us for a lunchtime presentation from the AI Shakespeare project. We will consider the benefits and drawbacks of industry collaboration.

This session aims to provide a candid discussion of the challenges and benefits of working with the Creative Industries.

About StoryLab:

Abigail met Annette Parry, COO of To Play For, at a Creative Industries workshop run in the Humanities Division in early 2019. Following a successful application for a small amount of Seed Funding, Abigail held a workshop with colleagues in the English Faculty to explore the potential educational uses of AI storytelling platform, Charisma.ai. A further application to the Business Engagement and Partnerships Seed Fund enabled the prototyping of two scenes from Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth.
