Childhood and Youth Book Review Series

We are also calling for postgraduate students in the humanities and social sciences who wish to review recent books on the theme of childhood or youth. We’re looking for compellingly considered essays that place books within context, and provide a sense of why scholars and others interested in the field might want to read the book. The reviews would be about 1000 words, and would be edited by the network conveners before publication on the network’s webpage. We are happy to accept suggestions of books to review, and can contact publishers for a review copy if we agree on a title with a potential review author.

Please send expressions of interest to cysoxford@torch.ox.ac.uk. We are accepting submissions on a rolling basis.
