Digital Humanities takes place at the intersection of digital technologies and humanities. It aims to make possible new kinds of research, both in the humanities disciplines and in computer science and its allied technologies, therefore adding power and value of the research itself, and not only perceived as an application for wider dissemination of outcomes.

It also studies the impact of these techniques on cultural heritage, memory institutions, libraries, archives and digital culture. At the same time, research outputs are made more easily accessible to users of digital resources through social media, smartphone apps and other emerging technologies.
