We know that our environment faces a crisis. But how do we ensure that the steps we take creates a future that works for everyone, especially those whose voices are currently least heard? Dr Lucie Middlemiss' work focuses on the boundaries between social and environmental issues.
Dr Middlemiss is the Associate Professor in Sustainability at the University of Leeds. She is the Co-Director of the Sustainability Research Institute and has volunteered for Greenpeace. Her work considers the boundary between social and environmental issues. She wants to know how environmental problems and policy affect people, and how people can in turn affect environmental problems. She has disciplinary roots in sociology, and takes a critical approach to sustainability.
