Members of the University, alumni, and members of the public are cordially invited to our Trinity Massada Visiting Fellowships Seminar:

Dr. Tovi Bibring (Bar Ilan University, Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre): ‘Exceptional Medieval Story-Tellers: How Three Jewish Writers of Hebrew in Europe Challenged the Dominant Culture of Their Times’

The paper focuses on Berechiah ben rabbi Natronai ha-Naqdan of Normandy (twelfth century), Ya'akov ben El'azar of Toledo (thirteenth century), and Immanuel ha-Romi of Rome (fourteenth century), who each produced a controversial and as yet undervalued literary masterpiece.

The talk will be followed by discussion and drinks.

The event is free, open to all and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
