The Oxford Centre for Life-Writing is hosting a discussion and screening with film director Clio Barnard. Her film The Selfish Giant will be screened. The Selfish Giant is a 2013 British drama film inspired by the Oscar Wilde story. It won the Europa Cinemas award at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and Best Film at the 24th Stockholm International Film Festival. It was nominated for the 2014 Bafta.
