Heritage Pathway: Current Issues in Arts & Heritage: Private Heritage

According to Historic England, the majority of historic houses and gardens in the UK are in private ownership. This session will introduce Historic Houses, a membership organisation which represents, advises, and supports private heritage sites to ensure that they stay alive for generations to come.

We will consider what heritage means, and how it is preserved and shared, when it sits outside the remit of governmental or charitable care.

Speakers:

  • Sarah Roller: Policy and Education Officer, Historic Houses
  • Emma Robinson: Director of Policy and Public Affairs, Historic Houses

Chaired by Alice Purkiss and Dr Rachel Delman
