The Immersive Technologies Summer School introduces skills, required to create immersive experiences in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Over the course of four intensive days, participants will discover how to create an immersive app: from 3D modelling, to user experience (UX) design, storytelling and app deployment. Attendees will explore motion tracking, UX, computer vision, collision detection, commercially available devices and software development toolkits (SDKs). The Summer School will culminate with the design and development of a software application to be presented in a showcase event and, ideally, developed further after the summer school. The programme is suitable for beginners and for those with some experience in the field.
Registration open to students, post-graduates, post-doctoral researchers and academic staff.
Registration deadline: 29 July 2019
