This online workshop is aimed at doctoral students considering further post-doctoral research, usually in their penultimate or final year of study, and those who have recently completed a doctorate.
This session will provide an introduction to postdoctoral research opportunities and applying for postdoctoral funding; it will aim to cover the following:
What is a postdoc.?
Postdoctoral funding schemes offered by major UK and European funding bodies and how to apply to them.
What makes a good postdoctoral project.
The process of putting together a competitive funding application.

This session will be delivered by Dr Helen Appleton. Helen is part of the Humanities Division’s Research Facilitation Team, which supports applications for external research funding.
