The Medical Humanities writing group is holding a full-day ECR/DPhil writing boot-camp on 17-18 April 2023

Schedule and Locations:

Monday, 17 April 2023, 9:30am-5pm, Seminar Room, Radcliffe Humanities, Woodstock Rd, Oxford OX2 6GG

Tuesday, 18 April 2023, 9:30am-5pm, Seminar Room, Oxford Centre for the History of Science, 47 Banbury Road, Oxford OX2 6PE

We’re holding our second Medical Humanities ECR/DPhil writing “boot-camp”! Join us for some targeted writing time, meet your colleagues, and set yourself up well for the coming term. All ECRs and DPhils from across the university are welcome if your work touches on any aspect of medical humanities.

The boot-camp builds on our existing Medical Humanities ECR/DPhil writing group, which meets on alternate Thursdays and Fridays during term time. The event will be held from 9:30am-5pm on Monday, 17th of April 2023 (at the Seminar room, Radcliffe Humanities ) and Tuesday, 18th of April 2023 (Seminar room at the 47 Banbury Road).

We’ll have some light breakfast/lunch/snacks each day, and we’re planning sessions on writing goal setting and mindfulness techniques. So, we’ll mostly be focused on timed writing blocks but will also have a bit of guidance (and comradery).

Please email Janelle (janelle.winters@history.ox.ac.uk) or Angeliki (angeliki.myrillas-brazeau@lincoln.ox.ac.uk) as soon as possible if you’d like to attend or to be added to our writing group listserv.
