A meeting of the Medieval Studies network. About the network:
There exist already several separate initiatives centralising medieval activities, including the interdisciplinary M.St. in Medieval Studies, and collaborative Centres focused on certain aspects of the Middle Ages, notably the Oxford Centre for Medieval History and the Oxford Centre for Byzantine Research. There is as yet no centre which fully integrates the University’s rich literary studies with historical and theological/philosophical study. We wish to build on existing collaborations to create a Centre that would nurture wide-ranging interdisciplinary projects (existing and future), welcome postdocs, and organise events (conferences, exhibitions, etc.) across faculties and research units.
