In 1935 W. H. Auden poked fun at current misconceptions of psychoanalysis: ‘to the man in the street, the cure for all ills is (a) indiscriminate sexual intercourse; (b) autobiography’. In this panel we welcome three influential scholars, Laura Marcus, Brett Kahr, and Joanne Morra, to explore the fascinating and enduring relationship between psychoanalysis and autobiography.
