There are two new PCER funding opportunities this autumn. The Seed Fund supports public engagement projects with up to £6k of funding and the Culture Change Fund supports department capacity building projects with up to £15k per year for up to 2 years. Find out more via this link.

Background and Context: The Public and Community Engagement with Research (PCER) team’s funding schemes are part of the University’s strategic plans. They aim to improve institutional support for public and community engagement with research by providing financial support for researchers to develop, deliver and evaluate public and community engagement with research projects and activities. It is supported by the Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF).

In 2022- 23 there are two funding opportunities available:

  1. PCER Seed Fund
    £60k available – £30k for general projects and £30k for participatory research projects.
    Project can apply for up to £6k
  2. PCER Culture Change Fund
    £30k available – projects can apply for up to £15k per year for up to 2 years
