Week 1 Seminar: The Concept and Practice of Ziyāra in Shia Islam

This seminar will investigate the intricacies and substance of a work from the genre of ziyāra (visitational eulogy) of Imam al-Ḥusayn, an important body of devotional literature and liturgical practice in Twelver Shīʿism.
