The Emperor of the Moon

Dr. Baliardo has lost the plot. Obsessed with crackpot theories and more interested in his huge telescope than his family, an intervention is needed – and that’s exactly what his daughter, niece, and their lovers intend. When Baliardo is contacted by none other than the “Emperor of the Moon”, so begins an elaborate ruse that will bring both the triumph of love and the return of reason.

Aphra Behn’s spectacular farce – packed with slapstick humour and special effects – delighted audiences when it premiered in 1687. Now, brought to you live each night by the magic of digital theatre, it will delight audiences once more!

Now, the Emperor of the Moon will be live online. The 8pm performance on 25 April will be followed by a live post show talk, a recording of which will also be played after the 11:45pm performances.
