Oleksandr Mykhed's first lecture is entitled 'The Language of War' is based on his personal story and experience as a writer and a scholar and will address how Ukrainians talk about war and how the semiotic system of daily life has changed.
Oleksandr Mykhed is a writer and scholar with an international reputation. Andrey Kurkov, the president of PEN Ukraine, says: "Oleksandr is one of the prominent Ukrainian writers of the younger generation." He is a member of PEN Ukraine, has contributed to the Financial Times and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He now serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
