Grade 7: £36,024 - £ 44,236 per annum 

About the role

We are looking for a new colleague to join the Oxford Humanities Division as the new Theatre and Performance Research Partnerships Manager. Theatre and Performance is one of four strategic priority areas for Oxford Humanities Division (alongside Creative Industries, Heritage, and Policy Engagement). It is founded on long-standing knowledge exchange collaborations and partnerships with UK and international Theatre and Performance organisations.

Alongside the Head of Public Engagement, the Theatre and Performance Research Partnerships Manager will scope, initiate and lead projects with researchers and external partners. They will also build on and further develop existing partnerships between the University of Oxford and external Theatre and Performance organisations partners by facilitating connections and projects with individual researchers, research groups, students, and professional services. The postholder will focus their activity on further developing a community of academic staff with the ambition to submit external funding in collaboration with external partners.

With the development of the public programming and spaces for the future Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, this role is expected to make key contributions to the developments of theatre and performance activity, relationships and partnerships. This role will contribute to the wider strategy of research Engagement in the Humanities including public and sector engagement. We have a very engaged academic and student community within the University, and this role is a key point person for connecting with key internal and external stakeholders as part of the wider research engagement strategy.
