Town Hall Meeting: Support for Fixed Term Research Staff and Fellows

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Patrick Grant, will host a special Town Hall Meeting with a focus on the University's plans for support of research staff over the new academic year and beyond. The Meeting will have particular emphasis on action planning for the University’s forthcoming signature of the new Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, as well as issues highlighted in the recent survey capturing impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on research staff at Oxford.

The Meeting is open to all staff, and will be of particular interest to fixed term research staff and fellows, principal investigators and managers of research staff, as well as professional services staff involved in research support and skills development.

The event will take the form of a Q&A session. Pre-submitted questions are invited and there will be an opportunity to ask further questions during the live event via the chat function in Teams Live.

Professor Grant will be joined by the following colleagues to respond to your questions:

Professor David Gavaghan, University Advocate for Research Staff
Dr Rebecca Surender, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and University Advocate for Equality and Diversity
Professor Helen McShane, Professor of Vaccinology
Dr Gwilym Rowlands, Chair, Research Staff Consultation Group, Co-Chair, OxRSS
