Dr Godreau’s CaribOx Visiting Fellowship in 2026 will be focused on creating an anti-racist editorial guide that reimagines how slavery and Afro-descendency are represented in Puerto Rican school textbooks. She will work with Professor Arathi Sriprakash from Oxford’s Department of Education on “Visualising Afrodignity: An editorial guide for reparative education about Afro-descendency in Puerto Rico.” The collaboration will contribute to Oxford’s Reparative Futures of Education (Repair-Ed) project and advance CaribOx’s mission to foster transformative, justice-oriented scholarship across the Caribbean and Oxford.
