Roundtable on the Early Modern Body |  Collaboration between the Body in History Network and the Interdisciplinary Early Modern Graduate Workshop

Wednesday 3 June 2026, 5.15pm - 7pm

Seminar room 30.020, Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities

All welcome

Our first crossover event, a roundtable discussion in Collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Early Modern Graduate Workshop (IEMGW). Early Modern studies has been a centre of innovation in the history of the body for many years; in this event we’ll have a chance to discuss the state of the field and our own research. Topics will include monstrosity and disability, embodied reading practices, and care. No reading required, and open to both early modernists and anyone interested in learning something new!
