The University of Oxford’s Emerging Digital Methodologies Conference is now calling for papers. The conference is an annual event that brings together early-career researchers and graduates exploring the use of digital methodologies across the humanities and related disciplines.

Following a highly successful and oversubscribed inaugural conference which attracted more than 140 attendees, we are delighted to announce our return for 2026 at the Jesus College Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub.

We are inviting presenters from any disciplines to submit papers on:

  • New applications of digital methods
  • The use case and problems of any digital method
  • How digital methodologies are changing their field

Submissions can be in any of the following formats:

  • 7-minute lightning talks (especially suitable for early findings or work-in-progress)
  • 15-minute papers
  • 30-minute round table discussions (minimum 3 participants)

To apply to speak, you can submit a 200-word abstract and a short biography using the form available here

For further information, please see the Jesus College Digital Hub’s website or reach out to the organising team at DAMN@torch.ox.ac.uk.
