Carolin Gluchowski is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at New College, University of Oxford. Her dissertation examines the Latin/Low-German prayerbooks from the Cistercian convent Medingen near Lüneburg, Germany. Carolin is especially interested in how the Medingen manuscripts have been reworked in the course of the North-German monastic reform (1479) and the Lutheran Reformation (1524/1554). Carolin studied Art History, German Studies, Philosophy and History at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Recently, she has been awarded research fellowships at the Herzog August Library, Wolfenbüttel (April – September 2022), the Cluster of Excellence ‘Written Artifacts’, Hamburg (October – December 2022), and the Beineke Library, Yale University (January – February 2023).
