Dr Helena F. S. Lopes is a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at the Department of History, University of Bristol. She holds a DPhil in History from St Antony’s College and has taught at Oxford and at Bristol. Her research focuses on the history of the Second World War and the early post-war period, and on imperialism(s) and anti-imperialism in twentieth-century South China. She was one of the founding convenors of the International History of East Asia Seminar held at the Oxford China Centre and joined the CPAGH team in 2019 as an Associate Member of the Faculty of History.
