Vanessa provides administrative support for the National Trust Partnership, a pioneering collaboration between the University of Oxford and the National Trust which has been established to create new opportunities for interdisciplinary research, knowledge exchange, public engagement and training. Vanessa supports the development and delivery of research projects, conferences and events, and maintains communications for the partnership. She works closely with Alice Purkiss, the National Trust Partnership Lead and with the wider team at the Heritage Partnerships Office.
Vanessa has a background in exhibition development and interpretation, she has worked for a range of organisations including private and local authority run art galleries, historic houses, libraries and national museums including the Science Museum and the British Museum. Prior to joining the Heritage Partnerships Office, she worked most recently for the Royal Horticultural Society Libraries, establishing and coordinating a new exhibition and events programme at the headquarters in London and across the garden sites.
In addition to working on the National Trust Partnership, Vanessa also works as the Programme Coordinator for the Oxford Cultural Leaders programme, a residential executive leadership development programme run by the University of Oxford’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums, in partnership with the Saïd Business School.
