An Oxford Dérive with Samson Kambalu

Sepia still from digital video 'Stip Lander' depicting Samson Kambalu running with streched out arms, imitating a landing aircraft, in a wooden plank fenced field flanked by a large tree and a open spaced barn.

Join artist Samson Kambalu for a spontaneous walking tour of Oxford and discover more about his intriguing artistic process.

Kambalu leads an unplanned walking journey through the city of Oxford, enacting the critical concept of the dérive, or ‘drift’, developed by the art collective Situationist International in the second half of the twentieth century.

The walk will last approximately 1 hour. Please wear suitable clothing and shoes.
