Syrian Voices invites you to watch the first screening of "Arwa", a short documentary following a young actress as she's forced to make a dramatic escape from Damascus and tries to rebuild her life and career in the UK.

Syrian Voices is a new community history and documentary film project seeing the Syrian crisis from the unique perspectives of refugees now settled in the UK. Syrians from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life candidly share their experiences. Using filmed testimonies, zoom recordings, home videos and photographs, Syrian Voices bears witness to the worst humanitarian catastrophe of this century and offers an insight into what it means to be a war refugee living in Britain today.

وستشهد حفلة الافتتاح عرضاً لراقصي الدراويش الصوفيين،
أحمد الكاتب وعُمر الكاتب البالغ من العمر ٠ سنوات. ستكون ١
قادراً على تصفح مكتبة والاستمتاع ببعض الأطعمة
والمشروبات التي تقدمها مجموعة الأخوات السوريات ، وهي
مجموعة مجتمعية نسائية مقرها في أكسفورد.
البرنامج ، الذي يستمر إلى 28 نوفمبر 2021 ، سيضم مكتبة
الكتب باللغات العربية والكردية والإنجليزية للجمهور لقراءتها
في قاعة بلاكويل وحوارات مع مؤلفين سوريين. وفصل الطبخ
, ورشة عمل ورواية مصورة للشباب ؛ وعرض ورواية عن
بعض أرقى المخطوطات الشرقية لمكتبة بودليان.
