Humanities and Policy Webinar

This webinar is for University of Oxford researchers and postgraduate students and will focus on engagement between Humanities and Policy.

William Pryor, Head of Policy Engagement, and Ian Lyne, Head of Research Facilitation (Humanities) will discuss how humanities researchers can make policy interventions and build policy engagement into their research.

Professor Joshua Hordern (Faculty of Theology and Religion) will present an insider's view on research engagement with policy. Professor Hordern's research interests are in two main areas, healthcare and political theology. In healthcare he works in partnership with healthcare researchers, clinicians and institutions, exploring questions concerning the ethos of healthcare, with a particular foci on precision medicine, medical professionalism and the role of compassion in healthcare organisations. 

The session will also include an overview of the AHRC’s Engaging with Government short-course for early career researchers. The closing date is 30 October, and the session will include tips for applying and give an idea of what to expect if you are selected.
