Speaker: Maria Clara Araújo dos Passos (she/her)

Moderated by: Lucas De Lellis Da Silva (University of Oxford),  Jo Perrone (University of Oxford)

This talk will explore how it was up to the population of travestis and trans women in Brazil, most of whom were Black, to create means of collective affirmation of a critical-reflexive citizenship. Even in the face of relentless attempts to place them outside the lines that delimit the condition of citizenship, or even of humanity.
