Edward Kemp (Dramaturg) celebrates Cathy Marston’s Making of “The Cellist”. Join us for a lecture and film footage of Cathy and the dancers.

In 2020, DANSOX was joined by Cathy Marston (choreographer, now Director of Ballett Zürich) and dancers of the Royal Ballet for a creative rehearsal of The Cellist, her ballet on the life of Jacqueline du Pré, ahead of its première at the Royal Opera House.

Now Cathy’s dramaturg Edward Kemp, who works closely with the choreographer, recounts the fascinating narrative of the creation of this critically-acclaimed piece for the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building celebrations.

This is a free event, followed by Q&A and reception.
