In this informal workshop, several participants will share briefly (c. 5 mins) some of the primary material they are working on (be it manuscript or printed, text and/or image, though in English translation where practicable), to be discussed collectively. The conversation continues across sessions and themes, with discussion often circling back and picking up earlier threads. Themes of previous workshops have included: hands, performance, gesture, touch, masks, elements, and compartments. This term we leave the theme open to encompass any aspect of 'writing technologies' in the early modern world. If you are interested in sharing some material in this forum, either this term or in future sessions, please get in touch with the organisers by emailing: writingtechnologies@torch.ox.ac.uk
